Lucky Cupcake in New hope
I had some plans to meet my fellow realtor friend, Amelie, in New Hope this week on Wednesday for some coffee and good company. I was hoping she could rub some of her positiveness to me so that I had better chance of survival from the awful weather we were having. However, as you guessed it right, due to the heavy rain and storm, we had to reschedule our coffee date to another time as the original plan was to grab some coffee from Lambertville Trading Factory and take a walk outside beautiful Bucks County.
The problem was, I was already in my car under the heavy rain, more than half way gone when we made the decision. Although it was wise to turn around and head back home to finish much needed tasks, I kept on driving aimlessly and thinking how to turn this unfortunate event into an opportunity.
Figured it was a great chance to visit my New Hope office and say hello to anyone who might be there although I was sure not a single person in their sound mind would take a step outside voluntarily. Still, it was worth a try!
Now, there are some things that you should know about me… Every time I pay a visit to our office, to a client’s home, to dinner parties etc. I’d like to bring something sweet or some flowers depending on my mood. As it was a very rainy and stormy day, the mood was less than ideal for delicate plants. As you know we are in the Easter week and everywhere we turn around has something related with either bunnies or rabbits; I guess my subconscious was calling for some cupcakes.
I was about to pass Buckingham and realized I was getting closer to the Peddler’s Village. I have never been inside the village as I try to avoid crowds and Peddler’s Village seems to have a lot of touristy attractions such as shopping and lodging. Then again, this wasn’t any usual day so I said to myself “Let’s take it a step further and pay a visit at The Lucky Cupcake”. The shop was empty when I arrived around noon on Wednesday and there was only one gentlemen front of me ordering some coffee. I asked what he liked to order and he suggested me to try the Linzer cookies. I must say it was the best Linzer cookies I have eaten since my last visit in Seattle. A side track suggestion, if you ever go to Seattle make sure to pay a visit to this bakery,
Of course I had a variety pack of the cupcakes for the office, lemon poppy scone to devour later and caramel chocolate pretzel tart for my husband as he loves all three things i just mentioned. I cannot comment on the cupcakes as it was a gift but all the other products were fantastic and baked to the perfection. If you like your cookies and bakeries not too sweet I think you will love them. Here are some snapshots only for your eyes!
PS: I was wrong about Peddler’s Village. It looks like they have great attractions for us local’s as well. Please see this link to see the upcoming festivals and events.
